I finally got my sound card to work with windows 7 but I am having a problem, I am trying to get my web camera's microphone to work , the thing is that on my sound card I am using the input for something else ( my tv audio output), so when I use my web
camera the microphone does work. the webcam is a dynex one got it for $20. at Future shop.

it is part of my web cam and it is USB.
if I turn on my on board sound I run into problems getting everything to work , I can't figure out how to get both running with Windows 7 if it was xp or 2003 I could but not windows 7

you can share the input connection with DPDT toggle switch center are left, right channel then cam, TV are corners

save the hassle of plugging in/out just flip a switch

use the switch and share the sound card inputs and use the outputs of phone / TV , then just decide what you want to hear by flip switch instead of open case and change connections

note
red = right channel +
white= left channel +
black= ground - for all channels
