Are people seriously still benching with this ancient program? Wow. I mean, sswilson, your score is tired by an older 955 @ the same clock, why did you bother getting an X6 then if you mean to use all 6 cores.

wPrime baby. wPrime. That's where the men go to bench.

Heh.... 203.xxx wprime @ 4180..... :)

And yeah, the entire PHII line bites on this test (supposedly due to low(er) cache sizes.

Hehe then your Opteron 8435's should crush this... this ancient program :thumb:

A single-threaded app of a 24-core server.
Laff.

It'd probably perform similarly to a single-core system with the same architecture and clockspeed. AKA, there is little to no benefit of running this on a multi-core system. Period.

It seems to level the playing field a little? Cause anyone can compete (to a certain extent), be it with a 1, 2,3,4,6,8, or 24 cores.

Besides isn't the the whole idea behind a variety of benchmarks? Some areas..some computers will be stronger. While in others it might not be.

So I am still curious as to how one of those 24 cores... scores in Superpi 1M.

Did a quick hike up to 4.6ghz. Would rather have stayed below 1.4v, but that'll take time tweaking I think.

Super Pi 1m 9.050s
i5 750 @ 4640mhz
G Skill Ripjaws 16000 @ 1860mhz
Asus Maximus III Formula

On air NH-D14 stock fans!

Nice OC, what temps were you hitting with that NH-D14? Im thinking about switching from my Ven-X because i hate its mounting system.
