Before i ask for advice i need to fill in a few things:

1: I work under the table, there for technically labor laws don't apply to me, right? 2: I have been working for this company for a little over a year now

So, my boss scheduled me to work at 9:15am on friday morning. He picks me up every morning at the time specified. On friday he came to pick me up 45 mins earlier then scheduled without giving me a heads up the night before, so i was asleep when he came to pick me up. When i woke up at 9 to get ready for work, he never showed up. I texted him later in the day to ask what happened, and he flipped out on me and called me a screw up cause i wasn't awake when he came earlier then scheduled and didn't pick up my phone when he called.. well i don't have a phone in my room so that wouldn't wake me up. Showed my mom everything he said, and she called his cellphone and left him a nasty voicemail, which i believe he deserved.
Since then he's been ignoring all my calls and texts and I'm guessing I'm now un-employed.
I have a few questions:
1: Should i be entitled for the 2 days of wages i lost (saturday & sunday) that i was scheduled for, but my boss was ignoring me.
2: Boss just texted me that I'm no good to him because i wasn't awake 1 hour before i should have been.. thats not right is it?
3: How should i get my cheque.. he owes me for around 16 hours right now, plus my accumulated holiday pay, and hopefully missed wages.
 
Under the table = you got no rights.

Even more, if he has not yet paid you for that week of work, he does not even have too since technically you did not even work for him.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of.. but he's followed through with previous labor laws like working stat holidays, or overtime.. hopefully he does.

Good will gesture from him, that's it.

If you complain to the labour board about this, be prepared to take it up the ass when they ask you to pay income tax on the money you made for this period also...

IMHO, look for another job.
 
Stop working under the table, as simple as that. I'm afraid you lost quite a bit of money.

I'm under 18 i don't pay income tax.
I guess I'll ride it out, my mom wants to report him to labor relations for tax evasion, and treating me like shit for the period of time i worked for him.
 
Sounds like he was using as a source of cheap labour, and this is his way of ditching you to get somebody else to replace while saving a buck or two. I am guessing this some sort of manual labour job. While I am unsure of exactly what rights you have or don't have because you were under the table. you might have some rights due to a verbal contract, but again I am not sure.

If he's followed through with previous labour laws, you could easily get the labour board up his rear end if you're willing to get involved.

Depending on how much OP made with the employer, it might not be such a bad idea. The CRA can be extremely helpful when they get their money. Which is why many possibly illegal businesses pay their taxes.

If you made enough to put yourself well outside of the $20k bracket, get another job that's legitimate.

EDIT: since the OP is under 18, you could easily make your former employer's life a nightmare and stay completely untouched.

Yeah manual labor, hauling hoses up and down 4-10 flights of stairs, running a pump etc.
I made under 10k.

One of the reasons for the various payroll taxes is to help cover worker's insurance in case people get injured on the job. If you are working under the table you are screwed if you get hurt.

You would not have paid alot of taxes based on age and salary, but you still would have lost some to CPP and EI. Your former employer is avoiding paying the insurance premium, plus the employer portions of the CPP and EI (both of which are greater than what the worker pays). All to put more money in his pocket not yours. Yes, that bolding was on purpose.

You are likely out the money he owed you, but I would seriously consider taking this to the next step.
