Personally, I'd recommend a GTX 670 or a 680. 670s are much better for the money though as they overclock very well :)

Proof?

With current pricing amd cards get better bang for buck, and include free games. The advantage nvidia has is lower power use. Remember older reviews aren't really valid anymore as amd's latest drivers brought substantial improvements in fps.

if you want get an msi 660 ti power addition you can overclock to just under a 670's performance depending on the card

Knowing Gates, although he says he may look into overclocking, I think he'll prefer a solution that is rock solid and maintenance free, out of the box.

This is where Gates and I stand on the build. I think it looks very promising.

Antec Eleven Hundred Performance Gaming Case XL-ATX 3X5.25 2X2.5 6X3.5IN 2XUSB3 INT No PSU

Intel Core i5 3570K Unlocked Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge 6MB Retail
MSI Radeon HD 7870 Hawk 1100MHZ 2GB 4.8GHZ GDDR5 DVI HDMI 2XMINIDP PCI-E Video Card
MSI Z77A-G45 ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SLI SATA3 DVI HDMI VGA DX11 USB3.0 Motherboard
Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB 2X4GB DDR3 1866MHZ PC3-15000 9-11-9-27 1.65V XMP Ready Desktop Memory Kit
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA3 64MB Cache 3.5in Internal Hard Drive

My only concern is the graphic. I haven't looked into the graphic card world for a few months and I know alot happened in those months.
I believe that card does not support 3 monitors, is that correct? It needs a second one and Crossfire to enter the realm of 3 monitor gaming?
Also, I strongly believe the water-cooling is not necessary at this point, but that's a decision that's entirely up to Gates...

choices look solid. A few thoughts I have:

1) Nothing wrong with the cooler, but I would go for a more budget friendly air cooler (hyper 212 evo likely).
2) Great power supply, but if a...you are going to run only a single graphics card I would save a few $ and go for a 650w or;
b...you may eventually crossfire the power supply is good, but you can get a much better price on a 750w if you get one on sale.
3) if you went the more budget friendly option of my two other points, it should free up enough money to up the graphics card to a 7950 (though there is nothing wrong with a 7870).

Thank you all for helping out.

You all have good points.

As far as the water cooling goes, I know it's not necessary but since NCIX had it about half price after the mail in rebate, turns out to be 59$ or so, i thought I would get this. But I am sure a good fan would do the trick for even cheaper.

Not too sure about graphics cards either. you will laugh but my current pc is about 10 years old, so you can imagine I have not kept up with all trends... heck some graphics card nowadays have more ram than my whole current pc...
still looking at options....

Really all your choices are fine. Its just a matter of fine tuning the choices with available sales and your likings. Enjoy.

Great choices, maybe in the future since you already have water cooling for your cpu, you might as well do some overclocking with that.

The 920 is absolute garbage (plus there have been a few leaking ones that have destroyed systems, check OCN) i had one before i built my own loop put the extra money into a 7950 and build your own loop eventually it is a much better route
