In many ways the original Razer Huntsman TE was one of the best keyboards produced by a big name manufacturer. But now comes the next generation Razer Huntsman V2 TKL with updates like lubed switches, sound foam, better keycaps and yes, even new keyboard colorways. But with the Huntsman V2 TKL price being higher and the TE, how does the Huntsman V2 TKL vs Huntsman TE stack up in 2021?

Buy items in this video from the manufacturers below:

Ok, now I have to ask - what, in your opinion, makes their software "invasive", as opposed to anyone else's (eg. Logitech, or Corsair)? Just curious, since I don't have any Razer software.....

Not sure if it's still the same, but for years razor treated it's software pack as a driver and had it mainstreamed slipstreamed into windows' auto-install driver pack. It installed through windows update whether you wanted it or not.

I have a Logitech mouse and it doesn't install software on its own. Had a corsair keyboard and it didn't install software on its own. Every Razor product I have had force installs its software into my pc regardless if I want it or not. A driver is ok, but a software/utility suite is not imho.

Hmmm, I had no idea they did that..... yeah, definitely a turn-off! (n) That's what I like about some software installs for various bits of hardware, i.e. you can install JUST the driver if you want, and avoid a bunch of installed software you'll possibly never use.

Yeah, they're basically following the same scheme as video card manufacturers by installing the full software package through windows update as opposed to just auto-installing the drivers and then letting you decide if you want the full package on your own.

Not sure how they do it. But if I have my Orbweaver installed, Immediately after installing Windows I'll get a popup saying it needs to download Razer Synapse for it. The same crap happens to install the Asus bloatware for my motherboard. Both popup before Windows update has ever ran.
