Interesting retrospective chart of FAH teams over the years

Both teams HWC and NCIX make an appearance in this chart...

    Hot Deals!!!!!

FWIW, I only said "probably" because I don't have those kits myself. But no other ICs would be binned at those speed/timing combos, so they're almost certainly B-dies. edit - And whoa! Suddenly none of them are available. So clearly I was right. edit2 - These now seem to be the cheapest B-die...

    List of SSI-MEB cases

Well, I doubt you'll ever find a Ziggy Elysium. The HAF932, despite having to bend a couple flaps is actually, truly ideal because of the great airflow. The later HAF, though, is a no-go - so maybe the HAF932 is hard to find now too. The Stacker you know all about. The rest I honestly don't...

The next build or builds? What do you guys suggest?

FWIW, I'm still rocking a Xeon E5 on X79 for my DD. The Ryzen 9 3950X is the first chip that's given me the upgrade bug since then.

    List of SSI-MEB cases

Mobo mostly supported in the HAF932 - just the top row of standoffs don't exist. I used rubber spacers that I glued to the mobo tray instead. Many years of use and heat later, those spacers are still in place. edit - You'll also like this. It's a SM H8QGI-F in a cheapo $70 Rosewill R4000:

what's more secure? AMD or Intel?

Actually, the most likely attack vector is going to be your decision to give your fridge unencrypted access to your home network. When was the last time anyone updated the firmware on their "smart" appliances? I'm pretty sure nobody ever has, even once.

Work in progress Cosmos II - Ryzen 3000

Name idea: "The Great White Hope" (Larry Bird wore no. 33), plus awesomely ironic since it's all black.

    Country Cup Coming Up!

Yeah - the fact that the LGA775 stage is limited to a 7x multi plus the chosen bench is SuperPi 32M means that it's more about mobo overclocking and memory tuning than it is about the chip. Of course, if you're able to squeeze more than 600 MHz out of your board, then the chip's still gotta be...

    Country Cup Coming Up!

We've had more than a few sub-zero benchers leave the playing field in recent years - our own 3oh6, Eldonko, FtW, Rasparthe, and most recently former world champion marc005, the list goes on. Heck, I bought my dice pot and related paraphernalia from MTP04 and begged him not to quit. But all...
