    Hunting / game cameras

All three were weatherproof, worked well in winter and rainy conditions. Although you want to keep camera in a place where the lens stays dry if possible. None of the 3 came with an SD memory card or batteries - could be 4 or 8 battery compartment. Rechargeable batteries work fine for me.

    Hunting / game cameras

It will be a dilemma for you. Problems/annoyances with a cheap trail camera vs having the thief spot and steal a more expensive camera. I've purchased 3 of these from Amazon - all under 100.00 The first 2 had the same problem - batteries didn't fit snugly enough. The 3rd one, the opposite of the...

Major new Intel processor flaw could defeat encryption and DRM protections

ouch... "The flaw exists at the hardware level of modern Intel processors released in the last five years, and could allow attackers to create special malware (like keyloggers) that runs at the hardware level and is undetectable by traditional antivirus systems. Intel’s latest 10th Gen...

Windows 7 Is Dead. Long Live Windows 7!

Finally finding some online time and catching up with a lot of things. 3 iterations of Atari in the 80s, then MS DOS and DOS 3 (plus I was using a runtime Windows 1 at work for a DTP program). After that - Win series - 3.0 - 3.3, 95, 98 , XP, 7 and 10. Still have an offline computer with 7 as...

words of wisdom - what do you know?

Two: An old favourite -- Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." A recent one (from a sign in the movie, "Atomic Blonde." I found 2 versions online and not sure which is the original. The movie version is the same as Jack Canfield's...

The "What book are you reading" Thread

"Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World," Jack Weatherford. Quite an eye opener compared to what I learned at school, other history books, plus all the misconceptions about the Mongol race. Non-fiction. Before that, I read Weatherford's 'Indian Givers," another eye opener.

Anyone on here play through Horizon: Zero Dawn?

Yes, started a 3rd play through (now on hold because of time). I played a lot of Guerrilla Games Killzone 1 and 2, so this was a total surprise to see how well they shifted to an RPG genre. And from the DLC, I'm guessing they could draw this out into 2 or more sequels.

    Star Wars Battlefront II

Done. After EA/BioWare wrote off Andromeda, I wrote off EA and killed the account. No more Origin. For me Mass Effect was a great series that has now suffered 2 bad endings. I still have a few old games that have replay value that aren't bound to Origin to remind of the 'good ole days...'

Gaming Build For my Son - Questions

For FRAPS and the CPU, a lot would depend on several specifications and choices. A a full 1080, FRAPs can be set for Full Size, Half Size, 60, 50 or 30 FPS. At the higher settings, it can easily suck up a lot of drive space in a hurry. So storage can become an issue. While an SSD has crazy fast...

    Mass Effect: Andromeda

Definitely a wrap on the ME series for me (and Dragon Age) and EA as well. To me, the sad part is all the talent and dedication that's evident in the artwork and production of Andromeda (and Inquisition) wasn't reflected in the upper management - all we got from management was a lot of hype...

What game are you currently playing? (Screenshots if possible pls)

Fallout 4. Decided to do some of the DLC I never got around before. But then found a new mod... Several hours into a new game using the Nora Companion mod; puts a different perspective on playing the game. And even though FO4 wasn't designed for this, the mod author has done a fairly good job...
