Air compressors
I bought a used old small compressor on wheels as a 'portable' unit. It has the LARGE motor on the outside with a V-belt driving the compressor. This old style ran at lower RPM and was often MUCH quieter. The new ones use high speed small motors and are VERY noisy by comparison. -

Thermal pad or no?
I bought a 2TB m2 MP400 drive to upgrade my laptop. I believe the stock drive uses a thermal pad. The instructions for my new MP400 made no mention of thermal pads.... so I'm ok just bolting the drive in? -

I think it usually is. HOWEVER I paid cash, unconditional offer, for lot with trailer that was basically a tear down. GREAT price. I moved from my RV to an ANCIENT trailer on a much newer foundation - full basement. Lived a few years before chopping up the trailer and rebuilding a true... -

Perhaps.... Maybe a used shroud - but I think I might lean towards making one from metal. The radiator was used as a replacement for a broken one in my Nissan S12 - used only 6 months before scrapping the car. The rad sat in storage for over 10 years before I used it. Hahaha.... Yeah I had built a few PC's prior so I was comfortable with that aspect but the water kinda terrified me at first. After receiving parts I dragged my heels for a week or two before building UNTIL my mechanic friend pointed out its a non-pressurized system and I was like oohhh... -

A pair of nVidia K1 server GPU's to use in my seasonal space heater / folding rig. Building a power hungry PC with older GPU's - I figure given how much of the electricity is turned into heat that the efficiency of an aggressive cooling setup could rival or possibly surpass a modest / subpar... -
Folding WHILE mining??
It seems F@H was merely slow to accurately update TPF and time estimates. I was baffled and basically crapping my pants wondering how it was possible.... Easy come easy go eh?- mattydies

Just tried Mining WHILE Folding. Mining output dropped about 16% but F@H seems to be maintaining most of its output also - still measuring. Anyone familiar or experienced with Folding while Mining? THANKS FreeKnight. I will be sure to check out Steven Novella's work (even though I am already 'in too deep'). I love learning and seeing different information/points of view. I believe the ROG swift is a TN panel (though it has very good color for a TN panel from what I read a while ago)...- mattydies

The time has come for me to resume my neurofeedback training. In a nut shell it uses a computer to view and track various frequencies and amplitudes of brain wave activity.
