I applied IC7 to the CPU according to their specs. (pea sized blob in the middle of the CPU).
Keep in mind that the results I got are greatly influenced by the relatively low temps of the max OC on my 3 core PhII. As temps raise, the WC would put the 212+ to shame. That said.... you really can't go wrong with a $30 cooler that performs as well as it does.Hi Steve,
Sit Stevey.. I got myself a new toy.. Hyper 212 Plus.. Quite impressed with your results which was very close to a pretty good h20 setup, like 2 degrees more for less than half the price.. PMed mine at my local place, got it including tax for under $30..
Just one question please, did you apply thermal paste on the cpu or heatsink.. And what's your procedure, apply in the middle and press hard or evenly spread.
