Intel Kaby Lake i7-7700K & i5-7600K Review - Comment Thread

It would of been OK just to tell us what cooler you used and what the temps were with that cooler. My other question, what is under the heatspreader was not answered eighter.

Intel Kaby Lake i7-7700K & i5-7600K Review - Comment Thread

How about temperatures? I never upgraded my i5 2500K after seeing how Intel quit soldering the heatspreader to the core and thus temps going out of control. Using a cheap TIM instead of soldering was and is a dealbreaker for me. Is there any change on this?

ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX OC

Oh, you wanna get all smart and cinical with me? Ok. I said graphics cards are way too expensive and it is true. I don't give a damn about your stupid comparison to an Aston Martin - You could of compare it to food as well, since food, air and water are the most important things to sustain life...

ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX OC

I don't need you to explain to me what high end means. I just simply made a statement about a little circuit board, that is Wayyyy overpriced. It cost several hundred times more than it takes to produce and on top of this, it will be obsolete in couple of years (in contrast: High End audio...

ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX OC

It is all nice and the review is excellent as always but... The price of these cards is just a nonsense. I mean it is just a stupid circuit board, that takes couple of $ to make and they charge... well more than a PS or an average PC or a laptop! And it is still just a graphics card! It doesn't...

Work in progress Case mod and WC build

Well, finally I did not use the heater core. I was gonna paint it with heat resistant black paint and install it in the lower front of the case, after removing the main HDD cage but it seems my temps are way better with the DD radiator, than I thought, so I think there is no need to do this...

Work in progress Case mod and WC build

So after a little glitch, I have proceeded to the final assembly of the rig. Well to tell you the truth, there was a bit of a leak at the pump but half of a turn on the barb solved it I was working today on the project and first I did cut about an inch from three of the tubes because they...

Work in progress Case mod and WC build

I have removed the little HDD cage from the case, since I won't be using it and replaced the seethrough tubing with the Primochill UV blue ones and it was time for the leak-test :punk: As you can see, I've put a towell on the PSU just in case of a bigger leak and little pieces of paper...

Work in progress Case mod and WC build

Thank you Seriously, I wasn't sure, before I made the first cut, if I didn't screw up and be left with a brand new case without the front door :shok: Hell, I wasn't sure to the end if it works out. I think I will install a pair of LED's like this, to have the cut out glow with blue light:

    GTX 550ti heat

A 550Ti is not a hot card. Are you sure, the cooler is properly reinstalled on the card? Did you apply the TIM in a proper way? How is your wire management inside the case? Do you have a proper airflow (at least one fan sucking cold air in and one blowing hot air out the other side)? 85C-90C is...

Work in progress Case mod and WC build

Now, I will do a little mod, to make this beautiful case a little sharper looking and more unique. So, this is what I had in mind: to have an NZXT logo cut out in the front door of the case. I was a bit worried before, 'cause the case is brand new, there are no scratches whatsoever, so I kind of...

Work in progress Case mod and WC build

So, I had an idea of building a nice watercooled rig for a long time now. Something that would have great cooling but was also quiet and pleasent to look at. I was postponing this project for about 3 years now and when I finally decided I will get on it - there was an unpleasent surprise of not...

Dell XPS 14z Notebook Review Comment Thread

Bloatware is nothing - Any time I encounter a DELL laptop (friends, family), I uninstall them all. That will speed-up everything and extend battery life. I'm more concerned by the display issue (viewing angles) and foremost by the inaccess of the buttom chassis. I hate latops that are hard or...
