Didn't intel revert back to soldering on the IHS? I de-lidded a 4790k because it was easy due to just having thermal interface, but if a chip's IHS is soldered I wouldn't chance it IMO.- FreeKnight

The "What book are you reading" Thread
I don't think it's a maturity/age (free time) issue. The books have a real reverse bell curve with some greats at the start, and a real slog through a few of them. If I hadn't "Yarrr'd" them on to Kindle I probably wouldn't bother, I wouldn't re-buy them definitely. I think they're worth a try...- FreeKnight

Read and finished book two of 'The Wheel of Time'. Forgot how good this one was. Plot really moves, lots of interesting world building and a much stronger ending than book 1. One of the better books in the series IIRC.- FreeKnight

That's something where I expect some definite frustration. I also hate this screen fingerprint bullshit. Put it as a dedicated button on the side like my old Xperia Z3. I had a similar experience before getting my S23 Ultra. Tried whatever the newest pixel was that had just released (pixel 7 pro IIRC) and didn't care for it. Surprisingly I liked touchwiz's version of android better than the google stock version. The chunky bar at the back didn't grow on me...- FreeKnight

That was my exact thoughts, but I deleted a reply before posting it thinking everyone would have the same opinion. Giving Enderal Forgotten Stories a try on steam. It's a Skyrim mod that ended up becoming a Steam game on it's own (though you need skyrim SE as it uses it's assets). Gave 'Deathloop' a couple hours yesterday and.... no thanks. Felt dull, uninteresting and just not 'fun'. I like Dishonored 1/2 and thought Prey was a pretty good game, but this one fell flat for me. Sadly I bought it long enough ago I can't get a steam refund, but it's not the end of the world.- FreeKnight

"XBox" PC game pass?
Played about 45 mins of XBL games since I got mine. Will have to make sure I burn through a few games I've been meaning to before it expires or I just forget. There hasn't been many 'must play' releases for me in the last 3-ish years though. Last one I can think of was Cyberpunk.- FreeKnight
