changed my mind and want to go with a mid-tower...but I'd still appreciate recommendations.

@Marzipan Lookin' good. (y) From NewEgg? It's pretty similar to the Montech I mentioned, except that it comes with 1 more pre-installed fan, but no rubber cable grommets. In any case, please do post the pics once you get it and get it thrown together.

That leaves A LOT of options open then. (y) In-store pickup only, unfortunately. I was kind of likin' that case as well, but the odd fan size was a bit of a turn off, although I THINK it may have hole spacing to allow use of other common fan sizes if the original(s) die..... maybe check on that.

Living in other parts of Canada

Yup, the dryness DOES factor in..... some sunny winter days back in Manitoba seemed not as bad as some wet winter days out here. Like my uncle, that lives in Calgary, is fond of saying, "Calgary's the only place where you can slip on the ice, fall down in the mud, and get up & dust yourself...

Prices, from Newegg.... Montech Sky Two GX - $103 + free shipping Fractal Focus 2 RGB - $109 + $15 shipping = $124..... oooh, and how 'bout that - a $21 + tax difference, as opposed to "a whole ten dollars" BeQuiet Pure Base 500DX RGB - $120 + $15 shipping = $135.... oooh, and how 'bout that -...

So in the 9mins. that elapsed between when I suggested the Montech case and you said "meh", you "fully researched" the Montech case..... uh-huh. That, and my point was perfectly valid, i.e. I told you why I chose that case FOR MY BRO-IN-LAW, and since I liked it as well, I thought Marzipan might...

changed my mind and want to go with a mid-tower...but I'd still appreciate recommendations.

They both cost more than the Montech(add $15 for shipping on both of them), and after a quick glance at the listed features, I didn't see anything there that was "far better quality of life"..... about the only thing that potentially jumped out, was that the looks of them might be more appealing...

To each his own, I suppose. I got it for my bro-in-law because it was decent, at a decent price, and he really doesn't care much about the case, AND it was in an effort to keep the costs at a palatable level, while getting something decent. I happen to like that case..... just another opinion...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Yeah, I checked around on their site, while using the VPN, and found that same number. When I check shaw.ca, it comes up with that same package at $180. It pisses me off that they're offering that plan above for $174, whereas that same amount in T.O. gets 2Gbps..... only difference is, the...

@Marzipan I think this one checks most of the boxes that you mentioned: Montech Sky Two GX It's $103 at NewEgg, with free shipping in Canada..... got one for my bro-in-law's new build, and it's a pretty nice case(am still thinkin' I might get one myself)..... glass door, that's easily...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Yeah, I'm generally not into "being a bit more pushy", but it seems like I may have to be...... later on I'm going to turn on our VPN, and see what pops up on the Rogers site when it thinks I'm in Ontario, and if I see some serious discrepancies, I'll DEFINITELY be gettin' irritated and/or...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Unfortunately, around here, Rogers kind of "has us by the short & curlies", because although Telus offers service, they don't have their fibre in our area(or rather, their fibre line ends JUST down the street), and we'd have to take a speed hit(IIRC, they max. out at 50Mbps in this...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Yeah, the rep's mention of IPTV was when I asked if it was possible to get a TV package from them WITHOUT using their internet package, i.e. getting our internet from a 3rd party(while still using Rogers' cable), and I was kind of stunned when she mentioned using an IPTV service..... it's...

    Crappy Used Computer Parts Ads

@moocow I hear ya! I've seen LOTS of similar listings, where people are asking stupid money for something they have ZERO idea whether or not said items even work! Makes me wonder if any of those type of ads actual sell.....

    IPTV services in Canada?

And if using OTT, given each package's limitations(at least as far as I understand them), you'd have to buy so many of them to put together all the channels you may want...... ISTR seeing some folks here having discussed this sort of thing in the past, i.e. I recall someone here talking about...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Hmmm, ok then, I guess the services I was looking at are illegal, according to a few folks here..... guess that explains why, when you click on the 'About Us', or 'Server Location' links on their sites, they're vague about their location(s)..... from what I read last night, it seems that a lot...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Uhm.... I don't know, which is why I'm asking..... I'm only guessing, but it's probably "illegal" IPTV services??? Seems there's a veritable SHITLOAD of these things around, so are they, in fact, illegal? Oh, and do TekSavvy, EBOX, etc. have broadcast licenses? I thought those were...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Well, while doing the usual Google search for this stuff, there seem to be LOTS of IPTV providers, and from what I've found, those "small boxes" are not required, i.e. like VPN software, there's an app for Windows, one for Mac, one for Android, and they can also apparently be installed on...

    IPTV services in Canada?

Am gettin' kind of sick of Shaw/Rogers constantly changing their TV & internet packages, all while gouging more money out of our wallets, so am looking into MAYBE going with an IPTV service to potentially get more for less $$$, so I was wondering if any of the members around here currently use...
