Quite possible, I believe I had this disabled already since I took a minimalist approach to the OS and only used it for fan speed. I might have turned it back on hence the more recent occurrences...

First is supposedly Hypervisor related, interestingly enough thats not even enabled...
IMAGE_NAME: intelppm.sys runs under it related to power etc... Which might be due to process hacker on the latest win 11 build however the only shit i'm using it for is to perma enabled...
meh, keeping and running into ground i guess. 400 is the whatever buy second hand price if i had something lesser. or just wait for the refresh on 5 series.
500?
Might dump my card or use in a secondary machine until it dies, I still feel like the problem is not in the card itself but power delivery somewhere. I put a mild OC and benched the card and cant induce any hard locks.
Runs flawless, I again stepped away again and come back to a black screen of death.
I'm going to humor myself and disable the screen off portion of my monitors to at least see what is displayed. I do not think the mobo will display any error codes post boot (only during boot) for hardware...
I might pick one up for 200 or so, sounds reasonable? I know I saw a 13700k shipped go for 200 which probably got asking price.
If my x570 board sells tomorrow I'll prob pop another z790 with some ddr5 for a secondary PC with the 14600K
If only I didn't fire up my external portable HDD and realize how utterly balls slow disk platters were compared to NVMe I would have bought the last two. Still useful for a NAS/server at home for someone else.
Buy whatever you want that does at least 100hz, size is not relevant and merely a preference. Other factors are relevant to some professions as to screen type however at your price point it means buy whatever fits. I have asus I thnk 23 curved? that does 1080p and freesync and a 2k 27inch asus...
Based on the bench for the USB drives, it was about 80% ish up to samsungs speeds? Durability wise who knows, not me. I've gone through so many sandisk sd cards it's absurd and gave my parents the hand me downs. Lexar if 20-30% cheaper I would probably opt for as I did like the design and dual...
Yea... 4x, while some claim reduced performance for wear and tear on the NAND, I'm smelling bs on 1/4th the expected performance... I also recall years ago on the raspi trying this exact drive and switching to the SD card which I doubt any significant wear has occurred. I had a 16 and 64gb drive...
Two things were fucked up in all of this,

Oh yea, I tried data recovery on the devices which just went for a shit estimating 10 hours (not even a deep scan) for a 32gb sdcard/64gb USB. After re-formatting poof. Everything normal. I juggled them all between USB 3.0/2.0 ports on a laptop/pc...
I also had about 100 drives for mining BTC...
I just for the life of have no idea why, but given the entire lifetime of USB keys it has happened to like every single one that was one plugged in 24/7. Only one in my ex tomato router which had one to run pihole and additional logging never had a single problem.
Honestly yea... I told my dad this that I figure it was static electricity that probably cause it and potentially a low quality nvram being used or whatever is on these chips these days. Weirdly enough I'm sure the SD card (not my USB) was mounted the entire time and I highly doubt it was a...
Anyone have vast technical insight to intermittent issues around these as well?
In the past I usually experience write locks on SDcards (sandisk is notorious for this) when they think an disaster is about to occur. I bet its time based in the firmware... But not relevant to this.
I have an SD...
Which ones did 250mbs? Might snag 1-2 of those for cold storage. Kind of hard to commit to HDD's these days given the cost of SSD's has gone down substantially but for long term storage they are still the go-to. Probably could raid two of them and use in a much more lively fashion.
Also do you...
