The HDMI on the AW3423DW is 2.0 ver. So, I would definitely use the DP for PC usage. That's why I picked up the AW3425DW. It's has HDMI 2.1 which the PS5 supports for VRR features.
Well, after a few days of playing some PC games, such as, PUBG, CS2, and iRacing. I am loving it. I have also hooked up my PS5 to it. And love that I have all the VRR , HDR and all the bells and whistles. Too bad the the PS5 doesn't support wide screens. But im used to playing on a 27'...
Well, I got my replacement. The AW3425DW. Only had about 20 minutes to check it out. But it's big. Different then using my old primary monitor. 27 MSI QD IPS panel. Hooked it it to DP port. Changed to 10 bit colour in the NVCP. Not sure what other options to change to optimize colour...
Welp, had to start a return on my unit. Has something loose rattling around inside the monitor housing. Have to wait till Wednesday for the replacement. Didn't even mount the stand or plug it in. 😥
My monitor is suppose to be delivered today. Right now it's sitting at the warehouse in my city. Hopefully it gets here today. Already have a new monitor arm to mount it on my desk.
Well, my wife wanted to get me a nice gift for my birthday and I ordered the Alienware AW3425DW off Amazon today. Same price as Dell, $899+ taxes. And I should have it by Friday. Can't wait. Been looking and researching for a while now.
I'm looking at the Acer Nitro 34" UWQHD 3440x1440 Curved 240Hz 0.5ms (GTG). It's a VA Panel. Hoping someone who has this can tell me if it has smearing and ghosting. I see it has 2x2.1 HDMI ports. Great for my PS5 as well. On PC I play COD and a lot of iRacing. Thanks...
Well I did it. And of course it didn't go so smoothly. I removed my old CPU and installed the 5700x3d. PC wouldn't power on. I had no lights at all light up. When I was removing the cooler. The CPU stuck to the bottom. I worried I bent the pins. But all was good. I noticed the CPU latch...
Hey gang,
As per my current spec build. Do you think it would be worth upgrading my Ryzen 7 3700x? I am seriously looking at the Ryzen 7 5700x3d. I play my PC for pure gaming. And hold out and see what the next gen of GPU's to see an upgrade from my RTX 3080 10g thanks
I tried my PC which is connected by display port. And the PS5 using HDMI. Still get that weird screen glitch. Think I'm going to RMA it. Luckily I have 5 days left on warranty 😀
