Upgrading wifi card in Dell Latitude 5400

The card is in. I had to drill off the screw head.... Couldn't get the threaded part out of the hole. Taped down the new card and it's working. Maybe a 30% speed improvement from a distance. Haven't tried configuring it.

Upgrading wifi card in Dell Latitude 5400

Yup - the intel 9560 gets 700 in the same room as the desktop and router. 2-300 two rooms away.

Upgrading wifi card in Dell Latitude 5400

Holy crap! I was thinking that using a small drill bit and drilling the head off it was bad. Lol. I'll keep at it. Would those screw extractor bits work? I'm dubious about going from Wi-Fi 5 to 6e. My desktop has an ax211 and speed tests are about 500mb in the same room as my Bell Giga hub. The...

Upgrading wifi card in Dell Latitude 5400

So I picked up an AX210 card, but the screw on the existing wifi card is small, tight and completely stripped. I hadn't looked at it before. I've tried almost every technique to get it out. I don't have any extractor bits, dremel, or rary blade saw for my drill. I might be able to drill it out...

Upgrading wifi card in Dell Latitude 5400

Looking to upgrade my Intel ac wifi 5 to a MediaTek MT7921 (wifi 6). Some old reddit posts say that the card didn't work well, but maybe there are new drivers? Just came across this issue, so I guess it won't work? Intel® Wireless-AC 9560: This is NOT a standard Wi-Fi card. It is a CNVi card (or...

On a related note - have you seen the video of (Google's?) AI which acurately creates Doom as you play it? Interesting video :

    Need 850 - 1000w advice

Thanks for the info/input. I'm still in the process of narrowing down my choice and finding the best price. gradually getting there. There's generally only a $20-30 difference between 850 and 1000W, So I'm going with the latter..

    Need 850 - 1000w advice

Agreed, and that's why I bought my 650W Seasonic platinum 5 or 6 years ago. I've decided to buy new, but will probably go with be quiet! or super flower. Or if anyone can point me to a deal on an A tier 850-1000W PSU, I'd really appreciate it.

Really appreciate you looking into this, but even if this is available somewhere it's way over my budget. Do you think I should go with the be quiet! or the super flower? I'm leaning towards the former - but I just don't know enough.

    Need 850 - 1000w advice

I've got a 12700KF and recently upgraded from a 1070 to 6800 XT. My Seasonic 650w Platinum is having trouble when gaming. PCPartPicker estimates that I'm using around 710W. I have a MSI MAG 750 Bronze, but don't want to be cutting things that close. So know I have to decide on whether I want...

Edit - found a 6800 XT for $450. I'm upgrading my 1070. I have a 12700KF and a seasonic 650 platinum. Was about to pull the trigger on a RX 6800 at Can Comps for $509 + tax, but thought I'd check here first.
