I discovered I'd stripped one of the screws I needed to remove the top frame in order to drop my ent 8 PoE into the rack so I ended up having to remove a couple of the "extras" I'd put into the rear frame to replace it. Easy enough to do with the bit, and yeah..... I'm guessing might as well...- sswilson

Already there. :) Yes, I'm able to pull 2 separate IPs out of the ONT by connecting it to a switch first and then splitting it off to both the rogers' modem and my CGM. I've got wifi turned off on the rogers modem and connect my STBs through my Unifi APs. The rogers' modem is only online to... -

I think most of the insert kits from aliexpress come with tips, but the 100 count I bought from amazon didn't (100 didn't end up being enough for fully populating front and back mounts after I added a 3U extenstion).- sswilson

This was my first kick at doing a proper heated brass insert. I've done some random heat treatments to shape holes and/or panels, but never a heated insert. Having the correct tips for my soldering iron seemed to have gone a long way towards making it a painless operation...- sswilson

Aren't the Asus Strix models just rebranded Seasonics? Seems to me I checked when I had one in the house and the cables were compatible with similarly spec'd Seasonic units.- sswilson

Hrmmmm........ And now I'm watching the handles print for the rack I posted earlier and they've just done a 3/4" wide 5"+ long bridge without skipping a beat..... I'm used to seeing models designed with a slight curve to get away from needing to do long bridges but this is over 5" of straight...- sswilson

Somebody on RFD suggested it was probably a pricing error at the distributor level which carried through to multiple retailers. Hopefully they honour the order(s). That said..... with the XG 8 PoE being listed at $715, I can't see these being worth much more than $300 - $350 on clearance... -

Nice, and those are all 10G ports! :eek: That's essentially the MSRP I was seeing for the Enterprise 8 PoE when I bought mine.
