Do they even read the comments in their videos? I thought most don't given how many reviews they upload and how much work is involved testing and reviewing products. LTT went over the amount of work involved with testing and editing and it's crazy, even with all the automated scripts they run.
2.5 years later, asking again. Hardware Canucks seems to have expanded and there's definitely more staff and reviews being pushed. Probably lots of review units as well? Would be nice to pick up a laptop or cooler that's collecting dust while donating to charity.
Not really. When COVID came and Linus did his video on Folding@Home, there weren't enough WU so you couldn't fold even if you wanted to. A lot of GPUs were sitting by idling and doing nothing. Now that crypto mining is dead, people are folding again. I'm fairly sure the amount of work being done...
If you disable CPU folding, you're actually get more PPD and lower TPF on GPU folding. At least that's what I noticed with my 10600K and RTX 3060. Might be project dependent but I didn't want to pay more in electricity costs.
You're not registering any points with your RTX 2070 Super.
I stopped because I decided to pick up mining again. Turns out I had some crypto left on Nicehash so I'm going to mine and accumulate it then make one large withdraw.
What programs are you getting the slowdown? For web browsing, I disabled hardware acceleration on FireFox. No issues streaming Twitch and YouTube 1080P60.
You can see it in my sig! Lol
Is that your main rig that you use for gaming or something? Or so, yeah just fold when you're using it then pause and shut down like I do when I'm not using it or out for the day. Just remember to actually pause first then shut down. I lost some CPU projects by not...
Anyone want to start folding again? There's only 11 active folders right now and there's next to no money to be made mining so why not go back to our roots and fold for a bit?
