    Colour Laser MFP

FWIW (and it's pretty anecdotal and out of date, so probably not much), I've had a Brother laser printer that I bought in 2008 that's still kicking. It's only B&W, mind you, but I think I've refilled the toner twice in the entire time I owned it. And I do mean refilled, as I just bought a bottle...

looking for some power supply recommendations

I picked up a Corsair RM850x on Black Friday for $150. Bit bigger than you're looking for, but it's fully modular and well reviewed. Not sure how often it goes on sale, but it looks like it floats around $200 regularly.

    Whats your latest purchase?

We had a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan that we bought when our youngest came along. There really is nothing quite like them for utility. It carried everyone and a ridiculous amount of stuff that my wife insisted on taking along whenever we travelled, and if I dropped the seats all down, I could put...

Oh how I hate dealing with FBM

Oh, 100% Nothing makes me stabby faster. Between people offering half of what you're asking and people just never showing up to get stuff when they say they will, it hardly feels worth it most of the time.

    Whats your latest purchase?

I don't know if I could handle how much that looks like putting your cat in the dryer...

How about... making your Own Game?

I say go for it, but I would check first if you can scratch that same itch using existing game makers. I ended up putting a game together for the final class in the degree I just finished, which I spun as a government employee training tool. I enjoyed the hell out of making it, and it let me...

    Dryers

I had the same thing happen with my Maytag dryer - control board blew, and I took it to a repair shop that reflowed. It died again shortly after, unfortunately, and I didn't think it was worth trying to get a new control board (ours was close to $400). Too bad, as I'd already done the belt and...

    Whats your latest purchase?

Not to be an ass by suggesting an additional tool right after you bought one, but that's really the job for a belt sander, rather than a palm sander. a 3" belt sander with 80 grit makes things go MUCH faster. On the battery ecosystem side of things, my go-to as been to buy a drill & driver...

M1 Abrams in Medieval Europe? KINGMAKERS !

That looks insane. I love it.

    My New Monitor. AOC Q27G3XMN

I've got the same model, and it's a fantastic monitor. Granted, I stepped up from a 1080p, so it was a substantial jump, but the colors are solid, IMO, I really haven't had any ghosting, and it's incredibly crisp. Great choice!

    Game Sale PSA

Picked it up, based on your recommendation and with a few extra Steam dollars burning a hole in my virtual wallet. I'm not big on shooters, as a whole, but I'm enjoying the hell out of it so far.

Well said, Lysrin! Merry Christmas to you, as well!

What game are you currently playing? (Screenshots if possible pls)

I honestly didn't make it through the first act in either the first or the second one. I was just bored to tears. I've tried to go back a couple of times and they just don't grab me. Like you, I see the production quality, but it just doesn't do it for me. I'm currently back to BG3. I had put...

    spine /disk issues

Hey, man. I'm not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt, but I did a lot of powerlifting when I was younger (still lift, just not as heavy), and paid a lot of attention to the anatomy involved. TLDR: you've probably got some disc issues in your neck that are pressing on things and causing...

The 'What are you watching' Thread

I like it for the same reason. There's still some overhyped drama in there, but not as bad as Mountain Men, which my wife and I also used to watch. I tend to only get the seasons of Alone that have someone from Saskatchewan in them, to provide a level of local interest for me, but I'm sure...

    Whats your latest purchase?

Yes. They tend to get washed out pretty quickly at minimal deviations from centre viewing. I think they're definitely better than they used to be (and still WAY better than old TN panels), but I did some some notes in reviews around how, depending on height and distance, even the bottom bar in...

    Whats your latest purchase?

I just did the exact same thing. I have a 1080p AOC monitor that's about 4 years old that I've been pretty happy with, but I wanted to move up to 1440p, and when this model dropped to $340, I couldn't say no. I admit I'm a bit worried about moving from IPS to VA, as it feels like a backward...

Potential Upgrade Path from Ryzen 3600 & GTX1070

OK. Another update. The same bundle with a 5700x3d and a 32GB G.Skill RAM set came up again for $299 at Canada Computers, so I went for it. Only 3200MHz RAM, but so is the stuff I'm currently using. https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=&item_id=264335
