Melting 12V-2x6 connector saga continues to a 9070 XT
Ill never, ever buy any card with this new connector. It was dumb when it came out, and I was very vocal about that. Nothing has changed except new ways to waste money solving the problems this stupid connector makes. If only AMD cares enough to not require it, then I'll keep on buying AMD cards.- CMetaphor

@Marzipan Silverstone Milo 03? Can be stood upright, 4x low profile pcie slots, full ATX psu, room for a few HDDs/ SSDs, and 4x right (or top, when stood up) 80mm fan spots to draw hot air out, directly above the top edge of the mobo. -

Good ol Silverstone Sugo13/14? Could probably find one on ebay, but those put the PSU in the dumb spot right over the socket. Ive got a few other options in my head, just images I gotta Google and put names to. I dont build as many PCs as I used to... sigh. Will reply again later if I can... -

Scrapped DDR4 Server RAM now worth $20K
Uhhh.... well I dont have 72 sticks of 32gb. But I do have (for some* reason) 16x 8Gb DDR4 ECC sticks. Wonder how much those are now. *= the reason being that totally-secret Epyc build I've had sitting around for over 2 years... 😅😓😔🥲😭- CMetaphor

I surveyed the 4 corners of my house when I set up the AP years ago, got enough to know where I could put my AP and where the "black holes" of signal strength killing were. Single AP (for now). Wired. PoE powered but connected only by a 6ft Cat6e cable.- CMetaphor

Im only using fixed channels far away (decibel -wise) from.pthers because the wifi in my house is problematic (solid iron beams used in its construction) and because my AP is a bit underpowered to cover the whole house reliably. In other words, im trying to get the most out of my signal strength...- CMetaphor

Finally tried Smart tube... Interface is meh, polish is meh. But the important part: there seems to be no controls at all for touchscreen devices. So very heavily aimed at android TV users with some sort of external remote control? Open a context menu like the video one to select video quality... -

"Widespread news"? Doesn't seem like it, I missed it, as did several of my car buddies ive spoken to now.
