Newbie here, silly question:
Will Z68 work with only Sandy Bridge installed, like H67 ? (i mean without any discreet graphic card). If for example one day if my graphic card dies, i just want to be assured that i still be able to use the machine temporary, until i replace another card. Can't do...
Its an unfair comparison, H70("Exhaust in" setup) vs Air Heatsink. Reason being temperature reading does not take into consideration, comparing raise in temperature in components such as motherboard, ram, video card.
Air Heatsink pushes hot air to places where its easily exhaust out(removed)...
NO Crysis? Any game with an average of 30fps is already playable, any game over 60fps has no noticeable difference, that is why benchmark like Crysis are important, they can make any card fall to their knees and keep them there. Meaning if its possible to buy a card that can game Crysis at 60fps...
Did you mean that the Intel Core i7 920(ES) was overclocked to 4.0Ghz during the System power Consumption Test?
And the same goes for all the previous power consumption test?
I was wondering, was the CPU - Intel Core i7 920(ES) @ 4.0Ghz with the CoolIT Boreas mTEC on during the System power Consumption Test? Same for all the power consumption test?
I always enjoy reading your reviews, I always learn something new. However, whenever my friends ask me, "How does this card do in Crysis?", I'll also Always have to look somewhere else, why is that? Why can't we have Crysis FPS too?
I know this thread has already ended so so long ago, but i will still try (because the card is only more available now), and what I really really wanted to know,
is HD 5970 a (2 x 5870 or 2 x 5850 or neither) what is it?
I can't find a straight answer anywhere, I just have to try the experts...
I was hoping that this was a VIDEO review, as quality video review that are honest enough to point out the bad side of a case (as no case is perfect) are getting lesser and lesser, now that you guys are not doing, it gets even lesser. Is a community lost really.
However, I get to see...
Thank you for answering my questions. :punk:
So in a nutshell I can Crossfire, utilizing both the "PCI Express x16" slots, at the same time use 2x USB3.0 and 2x SATA3.0 device all at once, and still my graphic cards bandwidth will not affected, right?
To be clear, the board has only 2 x "PCIe x 1 slot" (or 2 x 500MB/s slot), means if i occupy both the USB3.0 port, both the slots on board are dead, right?
Another question is the "Marvell 9128" which feeds the 2x SATA 6Gb/s port (or 2 x 600Mb/s), can it support it in native, without the need...
AKG, i hv only one word for this review..."THOROUGH". I think you may possibly hv the most "painstakingly careful and accurate" (from google Definitions) review on Noctua NH-D14 on the entire internet!:punk:
That said, I kind of belong to group that still can't believe that it lost to "Titan...
A big fan of your reviews, always honest, not afraid to expose the bad side of the board, while applaud the good side, not sucking up to big brands, great review.:thumb: (Agree on, once 4GB single module's prices come down, the two additional memory slots, is there to collect dust)
Great review MAC:clap: I especially like the part on "Hardware Installation" on how close the heatsink are with ram and card, and the angle the shot was taken just make this point. Lots and lots of reviewers tend to leave this part out. I see effort throughout the way you find the motherboard...
