    Crossfire Usage Help!

Thanks for the input. And honestly, I haven't had anything weird happen really, just lower than expected usage in some games. But it seems like they're just overly CPU dependent. Games like Tomb Raider and Infinite have been perfect with scaling.

    Crossfire Usage Help!

Thanks for the reply, that's good to hear. I know it won't be a huge difference, but it's voltage locked and not even a ghz edition, so if I get a 280x that can overclock well it'll be a nice boost. I'm going to sell my card for around $150 to someone, so it'll work out pretty well. Looks like...

    Crossfire Usage Help!

So I have a few questions/issues with crossfire and I was hoping someone could clear them up for me. First off, I was wondering if my i5-4670k at 4.4ghz will bottleneck two 280x's? As of right now I have a 280x and a 7970(standard version) crossfired, but I plan on replacing the 7970 in the...

    Suddenly Getting BSOD

I haven't. I tried putting it in a different SATA port but it still crashes. I'm thinking I'm just going to reformat, seems like a lot less work and time spent if that fixes it. The crashing after closing games, mainly BF4 was solved with rolling back my video driver, but it still crashes on...

    Suddenly Getting BSOD

Yep, that's how mine is set up. Only have BF4 on there due to it benefiting so much from an SSD.

    Suddenly Getting BSOD

I just remembered that I installed a new video card driver right around the BSODs started... so I'm guessing there's a good chance that's the issue. Going to try going back to the older drivers and see what happens. If that doesn't work I'm thinking I'll just do a fresh install. Not really a big...

    Suddenly Getting BSOD

Thanks for all the replies. The power supply is a 500 OCZ one, just a standard bronze one, it's a few years old. I'll definitely try installing the chipset drivers again. For all the responses about the PSU, wouldn't it be causing problems in the middle of games when my computer is using the...

    Suddenly Getting BSOD

I'll give those a try. And that is set in the BIOS. It's a Seagate Barracuda 2TB(ST2000DM001) drive that I added, I have 2 of them in my system now. The rest of my system is pretty basic: i5-4670k, a 7970, ASUS Z87-A, 500w PSU, 8gb of RAM and an SSD.

    Suddenly Getting BSOD

It seems that since I've added another HDD to my computer I'm suddenly getting BSODs randomly. They happen sometimes when exiting BF4(could be an issue with the game, haven't been on much else) and there's about a 50% it'll happen when I try to shut down my computer, but it never happens on the...

    AMD R9 280X, R9 270X & R7 260X Review Comment Thread

I didn't ask in my thread, but where did you manage to get that card for so cheap?

NVIDIA Fires Back; Cuts Prices of GTX 660, GTX 650 Ti Boost & GTX 650 Ti

I think they're selling pretty well, though it might have died down a bit. I don't get why there's no drop on the 760. 7970s are going for the same price roughly(though after mail in rebates).

    HD7970 Advice

Gigabyte seems like a fairly good company, so I imagine the mail in rebate will come through. For me I'm definitely more of waiting it out and getting a card for under $300, I just can't justify spending any more than that, really. Thanks for the tip with memoryexpress, too!

    HD7970 Advice

The 770 does look like a great card, but it's a bit out of my price range. It doesn't seem better enough than the 7970 for the extra +$100 to me.

    HD7970 Advice

It's not overly urgent. Just a good sale on right now, though they seem to be popping up a lot. I just read that the new AMD card that's going to be $300 is basically a 7970, so I wasn't sure if it was a big deal to wait or not. At the same time, I am pretty tired of this GTS 250...

    HD7970 Advice

So I was thinking of picking this up. It seems like a really good deal. I was previously thinking of the 760, but they're the same price, and it seems like this should be around the 770(at least when overclocked.) Does anyone have any input on this? Just like to be sure of things before...

    Advice on the GTX 760

Hey there, first time posting here, but I've been coming here for the reviews for a while! So I was wondering about the GTX 760(or any cards around it really) and if now is a good time to get one, or if there might be any upcoming price drops, because I've heard that AMD is announcing new...
