Pixel 5...?! When did that happen?

Yeah the reviews will be important to see how the 765G can get the processing done. It's just another thing that impacts the performance overall though, but for me I think it will be ok.

Pixel 5...?! When did that happen?

Went with a mid-range 765G CPU. Good enough for most, but the GPU is not that powerful in this chip. They also removed the Pixel Neural Core that processed images, and no Soli radar. No squeeze for Assistant either, so money saved on those. Might be one of the LG OLEDs that Google invested...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Final tweaks to the setup. removed my 8-10 year old HDDs, and replaced them with a singular WD Gold 6TB drive. Drilled three large holes in the centre of the dolly to let some air get under the chassis (and at the carpet underneath), and painted it black (with some gloss to help keep dust from...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Will do. I was reading that AMD has said that using too many monitoring programs will cause the cpu temps to spike more often due to excessive polling....kinda like some weird quantum entanglement observation stuff. But I'll pop hwinfo on there as well but I want to keep my aida install as I...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Haha dropping over 2k on a new rig forces one to get up to speed on these things :)

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

The temps I'm using are being reported by aida64, but the temps I'm going by are the CPU diode temps. Aida64 and other programs will also report the "CPU temps" which are usually lower. (the diode temps are supposed to be from the cpu package, where the "cpu temps" are read from the mobo...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

I'm getting 75c max on the CPU in Aida64 (CPU is stock but I have XMP profile set at 3200mhz if that matters). A bit less on prime95. I saw 77c max on the old setup that was louder. I have not done much with the GPU yet, though.

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Haha I actually looked at that one. I got the one I did because it was pretty much the perfect size. But that's a good option too.

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

haha it was a dolly that was the perfect size for the case thankfully. It was $35 plus tax here: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00O8039E2/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_hgSmFb2YDYSBJ

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

I just bought a small dolly (that is perfect for this case...I'll have about an inch extra space all around the case). I plan to use a hole saw bit to put some holes in the middle of the dolly where the case grills are to help with intake, and spray it black. The castors will help elevate the...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

The controller on the pump is set to "auto", and the asus motherboard is set to let the pump stay at 100$ in Qfan setup. Its the same I had before. The fans on the AIO are controlled by the mobo separately. I have not redone the TIM yet, but will give it a shot next. I've been reading about...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Yeah I'm thinking about re-applying the TIM. I have used credit-card method in the past, but always worried about getting bubbles in there. I had a hell of a time getting the block off the cpu when I took the rig apart for transport. Hoping I didn't separate anything. Using the rig for work...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

I'm wondering if I didn't apply enough of the Kryonaut...I use the pea method, but last time I used the AS5 I used a bit too much...i might have used too little this time. The temps seem to fluctuate a lot more on the CPU...used to sit at about 34c always, now it seems to fluctuate between 30...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Got it together. Looks great, still trying some temps...looks like I'm about 8-10c over what my old CM Trooper was on the CPU, 5c over on the motherboard, and the gpu is also about 5c over...but its much quieter, so I think I'll have to ramp up the fans a bit for a more fair comparison. These...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

So I came up with a hybrid plan, similar to plan D above :) 1. Returned the 280mm AIO, and I'll keep the 240mm AIO. It was unopened so I got 100% refund back. I bought a 120mm fan. 2. I'll mount the 240mm AIO to the front as intake, with a 120mm fan below for intake as well (the new one I just...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Ran into a small snag as I was lining up the stuff I'm planning to jam into the case. Plan A: As discussed above, put my 240mm AIO at the front, with a 140mm fan below it. All intake. Then have three 140mm fans as exhaust, two at the top, one at the back. Now that I am looking at it, I'm...

Quiet case with good airflow? Is the Meshify the best option?

Got the Meshify S2 white today. God, that thing is pretty. I also get why Dimitry loves pulling the wrap off the tempered glass. So satisfying. I ordered some of the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Grease too, now that I'm relocating the gear. I used Arctic Silver 5 and it was probably good...

Help? Suggestions for side work & a future.

Hey CM; The click at the end was pretty brave. That is a lot to put out there. I'm going to throw a few ideas in to consider, but there is a lot there to unpack and I don't want to offer advice into areas I am not qualified to do so. I'll keep it succinct: - mobile phones and devices, laptops...
