    Antec Earthwatts 430 concern

Hi all, I bought the titled Antec power supply for a budget PC i'm building for my friend, however upon installing it I noticed it was missing the CPU plugin. Will it still function without this? Thanks! Wolf

    Asus P7P55D SATA problems

Fixed the problem. Turns out it wasn't a problem with the motherboard SATA ports. All I had to do was go into the Windows disk management utility and assign a letter to the drive.

    Asus P7P55D SATA problems

Hi all, I wasn't quite sure if this fell more under hard drives or motherboard, but it seems like a SATA problem. While trying to repartition one of my hard disks for a clean Windows 7 install with G-parted, I ran into an odd problem. When both independent drives are plugged into the P55 SATA...

Dell Studio 14z Review (Image Heavy)

An interesting thing to note, this laptop really has some good gaming potential. I was able to get Dead Space running very smoothly at medium settings. The only place it had trouble was during scenes with multiple flashing light sources; but even that was tough to notice. I'm planning on giving...

Dell Studio 14z Review (Image Heavy)

Well, so far I've only play tested L4D and TF2. L4D works great, even in areas with a large amount of zombies. I've only been able to play TF2 on empty servers (valve patch screwed stuff up), but it seems to work great too. Are there any other games you'd like me to play test?

Yea, it would be an amazing screen if Dell would realize that.

Dell Studio 14z Review (Image Heavy)

Earlier this year I decided that I finally needed a replacement for my venerable T41 Thinkpad. While the system it’s self is just a little more powerful then a netbook, its battery had worn down, and a replacement battery was not economical. So the hunt for a replacement system began. After an...

    Activating Fallout 3 DLC

Well that failed miserably. I get past the final cut scene, but when Broken Steel starts, I'm pinned under some sort of table, and can only make grasping noises by pressing E. Does the game have to be patched for this to work right? Or did GFW catch on?

    Activating Fallout 3 DLC

Ok, I'll give it a shot. That's good too, cause I can't find my fallout 3 activation key.

    Activating Fallout 3 DLC

Hey all, I just decided to cash in and buy the Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3. I downloaded it from the games for windows client. However, much to my disappointment, when I played the game through from my last save before activating the purifier, I was greeted with the same ending cut scene and...

    Upgrading to Windows 7

Ouch, hadn't thought about that. We only have 5% here. Still it's good to hear that the drivers will be compatible with Win7.

    Upgrading to Windows 7

Well 99 US comes out to around 114 Canadian, so if that extra 10 bucks is important, go for it!

    Upgrading to Windows 7

That's good to hear, the upgrade voucher would be nice. At the rate it's taking Dell to build and ship it, I think Windows 7 might be out by then.

    Upgrading to Windows 7

Hey, Ok, so let's say I decide to upgrade the windows vista that's supposed to be installed on my Dell Studio 14z to Windows 7. Would pre-ordering an upgrade copy from bestbuy cover me? Furthermore, would I be able to use all my laptops components (bluetooth, graphic drivers, wireless card, FN...

    I Have Crossed Over

I just have to put in my two cents here. While I respect the MacBook for being a good solid laptop, I have trouble paying so much extra for design premium when I can get a better speced laptop that still looks and preforms great from another manufacturer. That said, I hope your transition goes well!

    Gaming woes

I found a some what of a fix to the problem. I turned down the core clock on the card, and Assassin's Creed has been running for a while now. I just have to test this out on some of the other games i was having trouble with.

    Gaming woes

Well, just for the lawlz, I reinstalled Windows. So it's not a driver conflict, after playing Assassin's Creed for 5 minutes the game proceeded to go back to it's regular state of crash. So it seems like a new graphics card may be the alternative now? UPDATE: I turned off Post FX, and the game...

Getting 3000$ i7 gaming comp very soon

I believe most motherboards now have built in RAID controllers, although you often have to do some special configuring.

    Gaming woes

But that's the strange thing! Not all of my games are affected by crashing and artifacts. Tf2, Far Cry 2, Dawn of War seem to work great, but others, like Assasin's Creed and Trackmania fail horribly.

    Gaming woes

I think my system might just be better off with windows reinstalled and fresh, just cause it seems like this is most likely a driver conflict.
