Klipper FW + Input Shaper + more tuning.

Cool, I'm putting an Orbiter + Dragon HF on mine via the EVA system from Rat Rig, seems to be a modular outfit that would suit the printer in that video nicely. If I ever get around to doing it!

I completely missed this somehow, but good work Lowfat! I'm shocked that you've done all that with a bowden setup and haven't set up direct drive yet.

I'd just get a cheap 12864 screen dude. The LCD died on my Ender 5 Plus and that turned out to be a blessing. Replacing it with the 12864, which is basically the most common screen there is, saved me tons of headache later when it came to custom firmware.

Snef, you are a wizard, truly. I am so very proud to STILL be rocking the Case Labs pedestal you sold me from your original Extreme Red Demon build from a few years back. Not many nerds can say they have an actual Snef part in their build, but I can, LOL! banana

Yeah that Revo system looks sweet, the heatup / cooldown time is ludicrous. The magic is in the little circular heater core. If I ever build a giant Rat Rig, maybe next year, I'd be looking at that for sure. The hilarious thing is the cooling fan, it's a tiny little thing, LOL! Nero did a...

Well with the linear rail mod I started following, it assumes a stock hot end (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3960105). I have a lot of parts already printed in PETG for that one, but I might change my mind now. I also bought an enclosure for the Ender 3 V2, so the plan is currently: 1)...

Yessir, I have a plan. Whether it will work or not is another thing, LOL! The plan is to use the EVA system from Rat Rig (https://main.eva-3d.page/). It supports the Dragon directly, and also supports the Orbiter v1.5 extruder I bought for this. I could also incorporate the current BMG, EVA...

Well I recently decided to change jobs. Which lead to a lot of depressing and unhappy thoughts. Thankfully I'm lucky enough to be in a position to move around, lots of people aren't that lucky. But still, leaving a near 20 year career in Canadian gubmint, just because Shared Services Canada...

This kind of reminds me of that Egyptian themed build you did a few years back in a similar color scheme. Can't wait to see more!!

Sounds like a proper CAD program then, LOL! My Dad used to use Autocad back in the day, and that thing in the old days was just about the most counter-intuitive software I'd ever seen.

Super cute test dragon benchy finished. He looks SPECTACULAR! I'm am rather impressed with this "PLA pro" stuff! Notice how crisp his toes are: Layer lines are barely visible with this color, hard as heck to get a good pic of: This dude is CLEAN:

After much swearing, and then realizing I need to "reset to defaults" after updating my firmware, I finally got JyersUI running with the Micro Swiss direct drive offsets. Woohoo! I fought this thing all damn day, but I got er done in the end. I had to adjust my new 2nd Z-axis too, good thing...

Added a BLtouch to the Ender 3 V2 today, still working on it actually, just took a lunch break. Step 1, done last night. Get out the JST connector / pin kit, and make my own proper cable out of a 2m extension I had laying around. Step 2, also done yesterday, print a new shroud for the BL...

Well after 4 hours, it didn't lose any weight. Exactly the same as before, 1.113 kgs. Oh well, at least it looks like my cheap scale is really accurate, or at least sensitive. Plus since I have a pile of filament sitting for 1.5 years now, running a 6 hour drying cycle certainly won't hurt...

Sweet, I think I need to box my Ender 3 at some point, would love to have that thing be able to print ABS+. I've often wondered why someone hasn't built an external box to offload the PSU / mobo / etc, especially for an enclosed printer. I've seen some 3d printed variants of the concept, but...

Do you use the tube grease on these things, or something some specialized, like sewing machine oil?

Honestly the rails are probably kind of a waste, but I thought it would be a cool thing to DIY. Especially since I want the modding experience to build a Voron at some point. I found a thread on Reddit where a guy did a linear rail mod from Thingiverse on several of his Ender 5 Plus's. But I...

Happy labour day! If that's a thing! Since I took the next week off work for a much needed vacation, I bought me a pile of parts, this time all from Canadian suppliers (sorry Jeff!). Sparta3d.ca - Spool3d.ca Pile of stuff for the Ender 3 and Bartie-5: Also got the last cheap food...

After taking a break for some food and a trip to the Home Despot to find a good T-square, I did the wiring portion. The kit comes with a complete replacement cable, Y-split for the dual motors, so you need to break into the board compartment and disconnect the old small cable and replace it...

So when I first bought my Ender 3 V2, I wasn't going to upgrade it at all, outside of basic stuff like bed springs. But since mine has been a TOTAL lemon, that most sane people would have returned, that plan changed BIG time. I've already put a new 4.2.7. board in it (under warranty), put...
