My recently order new SSD just arrived and I was wondering what the best way to get it up and running is. Its a 90gb Agility 3 and my current HDD has more 200+GB installed. I was thinking just going with a fresh install but I was wondering if there was an easier way?
Recently Flash updated itself and since then I have been having issues. Some videos, but not all, on youtube and other webbased video players would display a green screen instead of the video. Today I decided to reinstall but that did not seem to help. I then decided to uninstall flash and...
Its a Gateway M-series (can't remember the exact model number) with a T5750. How do you mean recheck the CPU socket? The thermal paste or the actual CPU because I didn't move that at all.
Its the main exhaust fan that sits on the heatsink. It wasn't dead before I replaced the thermal paste though. Now when I try to power up it does one half-hearted spin and stops moving.
I would have to agree with Luay79 on the MOBO, RAM and HDD. Those are definitely areas where you can bring the cost down without compromising the performance.
Also maybe I missed something but isn't the monitor's native resolution 1920X1080 not 1200?
I have a laptop that has had heating problems for a while so I decided to go ahead and finally replace the thermal paste. It was my first time applying thermal paste but I read up a lot on how to do it and watched some videos. I applied using the spread method which I am realizing is not the...
The reason I was leaning away from tablets was the weight. There is a relatively significant weight difference that would likely be noticeable after longer periods of reading. Does anybody with a tablet find this is an issue?
When I was looking at models the Kindle touch and a Kobo were the ones I though were decent. Have you or anyone else used the Kindle touch? Is it easy to use?
I want to get my mother an E-reader for Christmas but I don't know much about them. I am looking for suggestions as to which one is easiest to use and easiest to get e-books for in Canada.
Thanks.
I would agree with these points, especially about the CPU because the OP has suggested a i7 2700k which is definitely overkill. I would say get the i5 2500k and put that money into the GPU.
I have the exact same CPU and GPU and it is working great for me at 1680x1050. Obviously look around for deals for a stronger card but I can say that I have had no issues with my GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr II. I play BF3 on high with over 55 fps on the biggest multiplayer maps with 64 ppl for a...
It does not fell like anything is dislodged. I thought too maybe there was something I pressed but I have tried everything I can think of. I have found that if I press the scroll wheel down once I get that scrolling where I can move the mouse to scroll the page however if I press it a second...
I had my phone in my hand and was holding it about 1-2 inches above my mouse when I dropped it directly on to the mouse wheel. Now my mouse wheel won't scroll pages in any program but I can hold it down to get the fast scroll. I have a Logitech G500 mouse which has a togglable notched/unnotched...
So I know I sound like a true rookie but when I do I test boot outside of the case to make sure the system posts, how exactly do I turn off the system? Just pull the plug and if so when? I'm about to start my first build and I don't want to screw anything up!
Ok I'll look in to those PSUs a bit more.
And if you had to choose between these two cards which would you go for?
