    Just google "Intel Flex Memory Technology" or "asymmetrical dual channel" for lots of info on the subject :thumb: I don't recall the name of AMD's similar function, but I believe it works essentially the same way as Intel's solution.

    I had an AM3 rig with three DIMMs for quite some time. It will run in a sort of hybrid dual channel mode. Because you essentially have 4GB spread across both channels and an additional 2GB dimm on only one channel, your first 4GB will exhibit performance characteristics similar to dual channel...

    Indeed! I have very fond memories of pushing toasty 130nm/90nm socket 939 processors on that heatsink. If I could find LGA775 mounting hardware for it, I'd probably still be using it in a spare PC today. :biggrin:

    430CX...mixed reviews

    Just thought I'd throw in my 2c as well. Been using one in a spare rig for months without issue.. Seems very solid so far and an excellent bang for the buck. Sure there are better PSUs on the market, but good luck finding one for the price of the CX430. :thumb:
