Nice review but...
Very nice review but...it would be nice to include the Intel X25m g2 80 and 160 GB versions.
Also it would give intel a different position in the value segment, cost per GB went down a lot.
I have to say i LOVE the looks of the x58 SLI-LE.
I might be stupid and sell my ex58-ud3r to buy that if the reviews are good.
Don't tell the wife.
i7 920 330$
Gigabyte x58-UD3R 230$
OCZ gold 3x2GB DDR3-1600 100$
660$ for mobo/Ram/CPU.
I don't know about you guys but i remember paying about double that amount for my P4...even my P3 back in the days.
So i7 is definetly not expensive.
Really depends on the game you want to play. Nvidia and ATI/AMD each have games they perform better at. Read a couple of GFX cards reviews and you'll see.
Well for me , if you need less voltage in the Bios for it to be stable, then it's good. I don't see a point of leaving LLC off if it gives you a higher Vcore at idle.
actually it's 8-8-8-24-2t.
Still good, and they are still pretty cheap.

They are 109.96 at Bestdirect or 89.96 with the mail-in. But i only had bad experience with Bestdirect...
Go with the cheapest it will give you about the same perf. anyways.
Also EVGA has great Tech support and RMA and lifetime warranties. Plus if your not satisfied you have a 90-day step-up program. EVGA's great and i only had great experiences with them.
None, getting 4.2 on a D0 is fairly easy and i do it with my Gigabyte EX58-ud3r. The problem is not getting there because your Vanilla can get 200 BCLK anytime. My TRUE doesn't stand these temps at 4.2 though and i wouldn't go higher than 4.0 on air with mine.
So basically your MB is not a...
FYI, i use LinX (which is Intel Burn Test), for about 20 passes. Then i do Prime95 Blend for 2 hours and when i have time i will run Prime95 Small FFT overnight. That is a good mix.
Throw in some benchmark like 3dMark and you can't be better.
Hey dude, i have the same board as you and there's no way i would OC without Load-Line Calibration. All it does is fixing the Vdroop. You see that you need more voltage without Load-Line because the Vdroop is bigger.
I think that's about it. Most poeple who OC with the GB boards use LLC.
