    Logitech X-540 - Speaker fade

    I'm using the same speakers and I was having the same problem with the onboard audio. While gaming, volume would increase or decrease as I turned my head in FPS games. I switched to an Auzentech xplosion and it has been trouble free ever since.

    Your best bet is to buy a dvi-hdmi adapter instead of buying a cable with dvi on one end and hdmi on the other. The adapter sells for about $12-$15. You might get one cheaper if you place a WTB ad in our BST thread.

    Auzen HDMI 1.3 board PICs & Info!!

    I have my HDMI out from graphics card to my HDTV. I then use optical out from my HDTV to my receiver. I have yet to run into any audio file that won't play through my receiver from my pc. I think it's one of the simplest setups out there.
