1155 dilemma: ASRock vs Asus

Sorry if this has already been discussed, did a search and failed. I am noob however.

In the market for a higher end gaming 1155 board and am up in arms about these two:
Newegg.ca - ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

vs

Newegg.ca - ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Any opinions/recommendations? This isn't my first build but it will be my first time really overclocking.

I would take the Asus in a heartbeat. Asrock has very poor warranty, once outside of Newegg's 30 days refund/replacement warranty you are required to pay $35 + shipping both ways to get any warranty work done. As for Asus, the last few boards I've had from them were great boards.

Hmm you make a good point. Ideally I'd wait for the P67 Classi as evga has their lifetime warranty but it's taking forever to get released and no one has an idea when it'll actually show up. This kind of suck as I have all of my other parts ready...just need a good mobo. newegg has been sold out on the asus for a while now, were supposed to be restocked today but they took the sign off their site.

Reviews of the MAXIVX have been lukewarm at best. This one is worth considering: Newegg.ca - GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD7 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. It's a little bit cheaper than the MAXIVX, and so far the reviews have been universally positive.

Not sure I'm a fan of the Sabertooth. The only thing the UD7 is missing is UEFI but I guess it's not a big deal lol

MSI boards use UEFI and from what I've heard they seem to be pretty solid boards.

Yeah but you can still remove it. The point is that the board under the dress is probably the best board Asus will have for the the year.

+1 to the Sabertooth. Damn good mobos and I dont see why the p67 would be any different. THAT being said the GB is good gear too.
