Just wondering what a good sell price is for a 13700k CPU? Only ever used in a DDR4 platform, so no microcode concerns.

My guess would be around $300?

None of the articles I came across mentioned a difference in terms of the instability issue on DDR4 so how is the microcode not a concern in this case? As much as I trust the long tenure members on HWC, I would still show a screenshot from the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool to show at least the CPU passed the test. $300 sounds fair, ME's lowest price was $370 but it has been out of stock.

I'm not an Intel guy, but my understanding is that the microcode issues were specifically on the ddr5 platform. I could be wrong though?

I don't have an Intel board to show a test result in. Was pulled out of a system that was sold locally , but the buyer wanted to put a 14900k in it so opted to buy without the cpu.

I'll have to see if the receipt can be dug up. Although I'm sure they can as it was a MemEx purchase originally.

However, I'd like to be the first to bump this back on track as this is NOT a BST thread, but rather a price check thread. I'd like to focus on the pricing more than anything else. If the conversation leans too far in to purchasing questions, it's likely going to be locked.

Can you offer RMA support or figure out how the buyer could get it replaced if it's degrades in the future?
Either get a receipt/invoice or just buy one online but refuse the package. It may sound scummy but honestly if a product is failing under a warranty period there should be zero relevance as to whomever is holding the product as long as the item incurred no damage through negligent use.

I've stopped caring about items that are still for sale due to this. Also some MFG (I think inc intel) will just RMA based on the serial number MFG date as well.

I'd also never buy 13/14th gen unless it is getting rma'd. I would want to throttle the temp/voltage and being a victim of a slow degrading process of 3 months and how most people just dump cars and other stuff (not accusing anyone here of doing this) the second they have an issue at sight. I would not trust one of these CPU's second hand as it can unintentionally be on the verge of failing outside a warranty period when most CPU's should last a good 8-15 years.
