2 or 3 slot spacing?

I was wondering if I need a 2 or 3 slot spacer to connect 2 gtx470's using aquacomputers full cover blocks on this board.

if you're using water cooling, you can have them as close as you want. the spacing thing is for air cooling, so that there's room for airflow to get in between the 2 cards.

It's also to allow people to buy those 2.5 slot cards that will take up 3 PCI slots and xfire or sli them in the proper slots.

It is the 3rd slot above the initial one

for the 990fx sabertooth you use the two tan slots and then the dark brown slot. you dont want to use the black one for graphics card because it is an x4 pci-e slot. so 3 slot spacing. i didnt even have to read the manual for mine :biggrin: just look at the under side of the board and youll see its only x4 wired, who needs manuals :bleh:
