Hey, I have asked questions regarding ram for this build, my biggest thing now is looking as far as SSD's I have done some research but overall feel I am lacking the knowledge to make a good choice. Here is my parts list, and if you see anything that looks out of place any recommendations would be awesome.

I7 2600k (Will be O/Cing on Air)
Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z Rog
16gb Vengeance LP CL9 DDR3-1600
Silverstone Strider 850 Gold
2x EVGA GTX-460 SC's (Already have them from my current PC)
Noctua NH-D14
Silverstone RV03B-W
Asus Xonar Essence STX (On board just wont suffice)
Crucial M4 128gb
Have a couple TB's worth of Mech Drives already

Edit: Ordered the PC with the parts list above. Will add some photo's once she is built.

What you have there looks really good. Just the SSD will have more performance but buying a 60 gb and caching is just much cheaper.

i say if that build is in your budget do it.

As for PhysX, so few games make use of it's almost not really worth the added heat/power draw.

It is better to buy the 120GB for speed, a 120 is faster than a 60 plus you dont take that slight performance hit from caching. FYI in my experience, using the same SSD, there was about a 3-5% difference in reads/writes between running the OS direct from the SSD or using caching. Boot and load times were the same. Results will vary according to SSD but that gives a general idea.

I would advise not getting the Vertex 3 until the bsod issues are resolved.

Maybe look into ssd with different controller, such as Crucial M4 or Intel.

All SSD's are having the same issue with the 1155 platform, apparently they think it is something on intel's end. You just hear about sandforce being messed up because pretty much everyone buys sandforce because it is fastest.

Well, I don't have any concrete evidence but I did build two identical systems 2600k/gigabyte z68 ud3 , with the only difference being one has a Vertex 3, and the other has the Intel 510 . The Vertex 3 box is the only one bsoding twice a week.

Yeah I'm just going off of what I read, I have no personal experience in the matter.
