Just this week I started noticing how many 16GB (2X8) 3600 kits were being advertised with mainstream pricing (instead of enthusiast). Hell, there's a 4000 kit out there at mainstream pricing.

Likely because we are nearing the end of DDR4, they've refined it as far as they can, so now prices will come down before DDR5 hits.

we'll probably see RAM prices going up shortly. Samsung just shared they suffered contamination and expect about a 33% reduction in capacity. another RAM manufacturer suffered something similar recently...so we're likely to see a rise in DRAM / Flash pricing soon.
