Sounds lovely, LOL! It does sound perfect for detailed things, but also sounds like you'd need to set that up in the garage, and mine is unheated, so that isn't happening at -25C! Not to mention the UV curing. But I do have some detailed things in mind. It's interesting to see how quickly the tech is advancing. Maybe I'll just go nuts and buy one of each!

Resin printing has been around for nearly 40 years. Hasn't really changed much except for it using cheap phone screens to cure the resin now.

IMO SLA/DLP printers aren't all that appealing. The downsides way outweight the positives.

SLS is the tech that is without a doubt the cool 3d printing tech. Although its still a few years before its going to be anywhere near affordable for the masses.

If I'm interested in detailed work, should I be thinking about stepping up to a better printer then? Like maybe a Prusa? I have no wife to worry about divorcing / killing me, so I'm good there. :)

Prusa is more if you want to just hit print and forget about it. Not having to worry if the print is going to print properly or not. It won't print any higher quality than an Ender 3. It will just print more reliably and w/ far fewer headaches.

So that worked well but the little nubs were too small and broke off. There was enough of the poles left to hold the smoothers in place. A bit of hot glue to seal the deal.

Nice support Lowfat, that gives me an idea. Ill 3d print some SLI covers to replace my ugly red ones!

I have to perfect the little nub clip things, Ill have to shave them down for the step down to fit.

If it wasn't for being sick recently, I'd have this done already. But even in my weakened state, it was bugging me, so today is the day! Ender 5 Plus assembly day that is!
