well, they are for a very niche and understandably profitable market, so it makes sense they are using their original expertise to make bank again

If it uses 4kW of power to operate, that's pretty expensive. I still find it crazy how it seems like we've thrown every notion of energy conservation out the window between cryptomining and now AI. Literally brining back retired nuclear reactors just to power these things.
