This according to Jensen in the keynote for CES. Will be interesting to see how that actually pans out. But with the 'only possible with AI' comment at the end, I suspect that'll be based on DLSS results.

The 5090 pricing is as insane as we expected though. It'll be nearly $3000 CAD converted. Gross.

I could have stomached a 10% increase, I was considering a possible purchase (on the 5090). Not now. I'll wait and see how the cards perform but I'm not in a rush to replace the card I have at this time.

Well at least the 5090 isn't $2499 but landed in the lower end of the estimated MSRP. Glad to see the prices didn't increase for xx70 and slight drop for 5080 compare to the previous generation. Wondering if China will even get a 5070 since it's on-par with 4090 performance.

Not a chance the 5070 does 4090 performance, particularly at that price. Maybe in one very selective benchmark heavily leaning on DLSS2 (or whatever the new version will be called).

Nvidia's far too greedy for that. I suspect it'll more than likely be that "average 10-15% better than the last gen" and each card will roughly perform as well as one tier up from the previous gen. A 5070 will perform as well as a 4080, 5070 ti as a 4080 super, 5080 maybe as well as a 4090, a little better in some, worse in others. The 5090 will crush everything, but then at that price it better.

I imagine it's Multi-frame generation being used on the 5070 to get 4090 performance. The quick little demo clips look a lot better than DLSS3+FG today.

Jensen made a joke that everyone in the room was already running a 4090 on their $10k watercooled PC setups at home :ROFLMAO: They know their market and people are going to spend $2k for a 5090.

Yea that joke fell flat though.

I mean mine isn't even close to 10k, 5 maybe but not 10 dammit!!

That said yes I want a 5090, but with our dollar they way it is we are looking at $2865. And then with the 5070 giving 4090 performance (yes using full DLSS4) the used prices will not be great for the 4090. Ok maybe really good if you are looking to buy one, just not for selling.

some of the slides to show how they are "fake" framing their way to the bold claim...1 real frame and then 3 fake frames.

Not to mention using DLSS to generate a 4k image from a 1080 rendered frame (DLSS performance) for even more FPS claim shenanigans (on top of the 1 real and 3 fake frames)

So.... is this essentially confirming that they can't engineer a card that will do high 4K framerates @ native resolutions?

Does a 4090 manage to spit out playable 4K FPS at native resolutions?
