Think my next upgrade will have to be when they move xpoint to dimm slot as it looks no point unless iv got money burning hole in my pocket. My x79 still kills any game except ark I can feel the stutters even with gsync. If these new CPUs bring new chipset without that ugly data exspress port I may have a reason to buy one lol.

seems mostly like an incremental difference (again) guessing that the next generation will be more significant as they will need to make a proper stand against zen

I purchased a 6700k when I learned that kabylake and zen will be windows 10 locked (well just no more support for older OS)

In my work I may need to install win 7 or 8 or run those in VM.

Happy so far, but the NZXt 440 even with 7 120mm and a 200mm fans and water cooling runs my 6700k hot (85c) if overclocked at 4.5 and [email protected], desapointed in that.
