I presume the ASRock 7900XTX Aqua never made it up here eh? Might have been a little cheaper perhaps, like my AORUS 4080 with waterblock was less than buying a card + block.

It seems like watercooling is relatively popular, yet there's so few choices that come pre-blocked.
It did. There was stock for a bit at the nice price of $2000 CAD before tax

And I recall the 6800xt coming in a lot lower than the 3080 but checking more recent benchmarks i'm obviosuly mistaken about that. Even compared to the 3080ti it seems to hold it's own for that I looked over.
That is what I found too when researching. Maybe maturing drivers over time?

I suppose that's what my 4080 cost, but the air cooled 4080s are only about $200 less and in some cases more expensive.

Looks like it would have been a $500 delta then on these 7900XTXs

Actual content wise happy this arrived safely. Bonus cool stuff score absolute zero that's the whole contents...

And a dusty liquid cooled 1080ti for scale. (Time to deep clean my desk again)

Bypassed the extensions for right now since we'll I had it configured as 1x8/1x6 and cables just barely reach with how I had things...

GPU is nearly tight against where the glass is supposed to be and just barely clears the current pump positioning.

I honestly might have to vertically mount the GPU or get 90/180 adapters to be able to get the side panel on.
Edit: I was thinking 90 degree adapters would be enough but with a water block mounted pretty sure it will stick out enough with the port fittings that I'd still need to vertically mount it.

So not an insignificant bump with basic tests and no tuning, can't get it to boot with resizable bar enabled. Just boot loops back into BIOS.

Shot in the dark here, but would a BIOS update be necessary? That is a monster card!

Turns out 2-3 weeks ago they did release a new BIOS otherwise I was on the latest one to get the 5xxx series to work in this motherboard.

However I found this poking around this morning and the sounds very likely as the symptoms were identical.
Short version. MBR requires CSM on, Resizable Bar requires CSM off -> convert MBR windows install to GPT and try again.

I was trying to remember that this morning and couldn't! I knew there was something else to check when I updated my BIOS to get resizable bar on my 8700K platform and it wouldn't come to me, and I didn't have time to dig deeper this morning. I didn't have to convert mine as it was already GPT.

Good find Sir!

Didn't mess with the resizable bar yesterday just sat back and played a game for a while. Tiny Tina's Wonderland with the 1080ti I had to dial back more than a few settings @4k to keep 40+ fps on the 1080ti, some lighting effect especially would just tank the frame rate until I basically turned off most shadows. With the 7900xtx cranked absolutely everything as high as it would go and didn't enable any of the DLSS equivalents or anything like that and it typically held 90fps or higher at native 4k (Monitor is only 60hz refresh rate), except for the cutscenes they seem to be fixed at 30fps.

I did notice a small vibration in the GPU cooler that is annoying, the waterblock is still out of stock. Did order a 3 pack of 180' power adapters so I can get the side panel back on for the time being. When I do get my hands on the waterblock I'll take the final measurements etc to see if I have to vertical mount or not.
