it's rare to see a monitor with an external power brick now...I know because some time ago I had a client come to me looking for a number of monitors with external power supplies because they had to be wired up somewhere that they only had DC power available. in the end I couldn't help them...

most people only ever left them strapped to the back of the panel anyways, they were never really popular and were usually not what went wrong with the monitor. I don't recall the last one i unboxed with a power brick. But most part bricks like that are pretty generic just need to match plug and output with expected input.

before silicon got advanced enough and small enough, there was no space to put the power bits inside the LCD frame...so external power bricks. now it's not necessary...but I suspect this particular model is so thin and slim, doing so wasn't feasible. interesting, none-the-less.
