Worked up on cleaning the work area in the basement. Thew up a couple basic 'shelves' to hold all the clamps.

And then tossed up some plywood on the wall to mount measuring equipment, tools, etc. Guess I'll need to figure out something to mount the drills, etc. As I have way more empty space than I expected.

EDIT: Also I have tried the Bosch table saw w/ the new Makita dust extractor. It isn't any better. There is just so much dust. In the next couple day I hope to hopefully mod it to resolve it.

Making some decent progress. Printing up some battery mounts now. Need to figure out how to mount the 2 big tools, Ridgid grinder / reciprocating saw. And then add a charger for both battery types.

Finally got around to using the router I bought a few months ago as well as the Milescraft circle jig. That jig is fantastic.

As for the Maximum router. Does cut like butter. But dust collection w/ the plunge base is absymal. Don't have a manual for it but watching vids on other routers I did figure out there was another plastic shield that I can install to see if it helps. At least in combination w/ the jig, the router is the first tool I've used where the cord seriously gets in the way. Every pass the cord gets wrapped around the router. But was still managable once I figured out what to do.

About a year ago I bought a Craftman fixed base router + a basic Craftman bench top router table. It worked but I never ever used it. Then I bought the Maximum plunge router a few months ago, which I like.

Plan on building a router / work surface table asap. So trying to figure out what I want to do for routers. I really don't want to remove the router from the table every time I need to use the circle jig, etc. So I pull out the Craftman. Looks pretty new. But WTF I just can't adjust the bloody thing. No joke I need 3 hands. It is binding so damn bad. Only option is to take it apart. What a damn chore to get the base off. Literally had to take the entire thing apart. Handles, wiring, the actual motor. It is made in the USA but designed by idiots IMO.

I measure up the router to see if it will fit in the router lift I'm looking at buying. It is 97mm which seems it doesn't support :(. So I attempt to see if I can fix the binding. Cleaned the snot out of it. Nope. Filed the edges of the channels. Better but nope. End up using paste wax on both pieces and finally it works good. Can actually one hand it. Just hope I can put it all back together. I did break the wiring for the LED that shins on the work surface but don't see much point for it anyways.

Will probably just put this up for sale. I'm sure I won't get what I paid for it but better than nothing. Hopefully can find a new router in the next 2 days as the lift I want is currently on sale.

Bought a better pocket hole jig. The Milescraft one was just so tedious to use. This one has
dust extraction and should be a good 5X faster. Feels solid af.

And also grabbed a Dewalt door handle jig as I'm going to attempt to make a couple doors from scratch. Want solid doors for a couple rooms for noise dampening. And building should be substantially cheaper than buying.

EDIT: Should also mention I can't use the Craftsman router for the circle jig either. It just doesn't have enough range.

EDIT2: Took some time figuring out how to reinstall the brushes. I was able to get it back together. And it will actually work w/ the circle jig. Previously it was just binding so bad I didn't think there was enough travel. So thankfully will be able to keep the router.

Ordered a Harvey Big Eye table saw fence. Wish I could have afford a full Harvey table saw but $4K is just way too rich for my blood. Even the $1400 for the fence is a hell of a lot of money. Pretty sure it won't even work on my table saw(s). I'll see if I can figure something out. If not keep an eye out for a saw with a cast iron top on FB.

Had an 80T Orange Tools blade on thr table saw. After cutting down 3 sheets of melamine it was toast. Can barely cut through plywood. Freud blades are 20% at KMS so grabbed a nice plywood / melamine blade this morning. Cuts like butter. But didn't notice it was a 3/32 kerf blade and noticed binding on the riving knife. It is just a hair too large. Can't find any thin kerf riving knives available for Bosch. So I'm going to attempt to sand the stock one down. Only needs about 0.2mm so shouldn't be too bad. I have a granite sanding surface so I should be able to keep it flat.
