About to turn 40...

I just turned 50. Would love to be on the virge of 40 again. Enjoy it because you will blink and you'll be 60!

I'd love to have an idea on a mid life purchase but if you have a nice pc, a car, and a decent place to live then everything is probably sorted. I'd suggest instead that you partake on a journey of fitness. Or just get yourself a nice sports car. idk. lol When my brother turned 50 he spent like 30k on an audio system to put into a room he built in a barn called the church of tone. When I turned 40 and 50 I didnt really do anything. Mostly because my spending is a regular thing anyway. haha.

And I think I have heard you say in the past that you wanted to stream, so just do it already. No time like the present.

40 for me next year! I say, treat yourself, you've earned it! And why not start your streaming anyway, not getting any younger ;)

I have you beat by a year or so. I haven’t really cared about my age in 15 years or so. It is what it is. Enjoy life as much as you are able to. A trip? YouTube channel? A car? Or go smaller and do something you haven’t done before. Your call!

For 30th went to Sheerbroke Liqour in Edmonton (very special and unique store with massive single bottles of beer from all around the world). 30 beers for 30 years. I think the wife is planning a repeat for 40 as well which isn't too far away now.

And I'm all over the place on how I feel about it...

What should I do? Maybe some sort of midlife crisis purchasing? Or maybe I'll finally work up the courage to start streaming / YT... I just don't know.
40 is a number... If you didn't realize it was your birthday, would the day have been different? (Just turned 77)

Reflection can be good. There's things in the past that are worth exploring and renewing, but you can't back up in time to relive the past. I found that's a difficult lesson to learn. There's just today and the tomorrows that may follow today. I've had no problem being a born-again kid - several times now. It's quite rejuvenating.

bliss.webp
