It is jellyfin,
Maybe the other just needs a reboot or something? I'm guessing this is Jellyfin, so is the 192.168.2.x network set as a LAN/trusted network?

Either that did the trick, or I was making the right facial gestures this morning since it appears to have taken. :)

Thanks!!!!

Annndddddd..... the third one wouldn't take..... I'm going to try it tomorrow morning on the assumption that having the other two "recently" active is preventing the initial registration for some reason. The third one is even less critical than the second as there's a good chance it'll never be used anyways.

As far as assigning the .2.xxx network as trusted goes..... I don't see that as an option anywhere, but there are a few "remote ip" settings on the server that might apply.

Yeah I wasn't sure at what point Jellyfin was forked from Emby, I just know in Emby the setting is there. It's labelled as "LAN Networks" and seems to suggest all private addresses should be included by default, but wouldn't hurt to try setting the ranges you use.

Are you logging in with the same user to all of them as well? Maybe that's what's messing it up.

Also I guess those Bell boxes might report the same client/hostname too? In the Activity log are you able to decipher which is which?

It's a generic login that prompts for the IP of the server and then spits out a code from the device you're attempting to log in from which gets entered into the server. I've seen other streaming services use a similar system where they give you a code and then send you to your online account to authorize/recognize the unique device.

I'm thinking it might be the client/hostname thing which is why I'm going to try again in the AM once the other two devices have been dormant overnight.

Could try digging around the settings, not sure how much Bell exposes, but I think usually it's under like the Chromecast section that lets you set the device name. Might be able to click on the Android version an bunch of times and enable Developer Options too and it could be in there.

Do they also show up in UniFi as clients? I can't really remember, I think my PVR & STB did back when I had Bell. But mine were the old old ones not running Android. UniFi might give you some insight into what they're reporting their hostname as.

Yes they show up in UniFi console, but so far only two are showing IPs so I suspect the third will grab an IP in the AM if I can get it to connect.

I hadn't thought of trying developer options.... if nothing else I'll have to try that to see if there's an option to disable Dolby Vision.

Seems to have worked!!!!

Thanks a ton!

Now I'm wondering if that's two way which would allow me to use my APs for the TV boxes, but that's a test for another day. :)

Technically yes, you'd make a new SSID and set it to the same VLAN. Might be worth enabling IGMP Snooping too actually, assuming Bell is still doing multicasting.

Not too sure what you mean here? These are Bell's Android STB's I presume, but if they're both on the GigaHub's WiFi currently, I don't see why they both wouldn't be able to reach your server.

Late follow-up to this.... it seemed to have worked without having to create a new SSID. I'm able to connect the STBs to my Unifi APs.

For anybody who's interested the new (android TV) Bell Cloud Boxes connect to 5G channels.
