A week with Acer 5920 (G) -6574 notebook
Hello:biggrin: I also purchased a Acer 5920-6574 (G) with 45nm T-8100 cpu and Vista.
It does get quite warm only on the bottom left corner, while gaming. I then bought a cooler pad (USB) with adjustable 4 fans. This is great when in bed, raises unit, keeps airflow going above blankets etc.

Because only the left corner gets hot and this cooler pad really does not cover back left side, I had to slide the notebook down towards the fans. I would recommend that anyone who owns this notebook get a cooler that has fans located in the pad at back left.
One concern I have is the battery life supplied with the minimal 6 cell battery.
The manual states that an 8 cell (4800 mah) battery is available. Considering the performance of this unit, it should have come with the 4800 mah battery only. Even with power saving on and the screen at 30% brightness, with the notebook cooler on low, I get about 1:45 run time (DVD). The good news is that the charger is the 90 watt unit and can charge from 20 percent to full in 1.5 hours and will be perfect, if I can find the right 4800 mah battery, which brings me to ask for help finding one.
So does anyone have this 4800mah battery in this 5920-6574 (G) notebook? What is the model # of that battery? The stock battery is 11.1 volt (4000mah) AS07 B41 or LC.BTP00.007.
My guess from searching now for days is that, the 4800mah battery may be 14.1 volt and model AS07 B72???
Thanks for anyone's help finding this battery and if you have this, how much more time it offers would be helpful. Will post back if I get one!!
