Charge rent man and it's your house your rules. You've done your job as a parent paying for everything so there's no need to suffer the financial burden at all. The younger kids are gonna see this as a warning and be better prepared.

Oh and stop lending money they never pay back. My Dad stopped lending me money right after high school. My mom never had any to lend. It got to the point, after a few years, that asking, when I really needed help was difficult, as it should be.

Fortunately we managed to keep our condo in Calgary when we bought in BC so my kids will have their own accommodation at 1200ish plus utilities. They either fuck it all up or they do the right thing by us and the opportunity.

LOL.....the bad part, is that while that's rather sad, in many cases, it's also actually true.

My kid don't listen and don't use a case on his phone : he breaks it once or twice a year.

Well, c'mon, having a case on your phone just ain't cool.

Buying a new phone once or twice a year, + the monthly fees.

Especially if he's like my nephew, and always HAS TO have the latest & greatest phone (Iphone67 ProMaxUltra or Samsung S84+) .
