HI,

my old CRT tv has this stupidly high pitch sound so we plan on getting a new LCD tv.

But which one????

I've done some research on TVs at Futureshop, but i'm not sure which one is the best.
I need some help.

My choices:

Toshiba 32" LCD HDTV** (32AV502R)
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Toshiba 32" LCD HDTV** (32AV502R)

Samsung 32" LCD HDTV** (LN32B360)
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Samsung 32" LCD HDTV** (LN32B360)

Sony Bravia 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (KDL32L5000)
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Sony Bravia 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (KDL32L5000)

I'm leaning toward the Samsung b/c my current tv is a Samsung and i have used it for nearly 16 years.

From what I've read Samsung has the best quality, I'm really happy with my 24".

Dunno what the warranty is like from those different manufacturers, but that should play a role in your decision.

but i sit only 7 ft from the TV and some ppl say that at that size (32 inch of TV) 1080P isn't worth it.

Also, i plan on watch SD stuff, BluRay, and play games on PS3

There's a calculator which will tell you the relationship between distance/resolution for TV's at this addy, called "Viewing distance calculator":
Viewing Distance Calculator

Personally, i think the 7 ft you mention for a 32" TV is quite all right, but it can vary quite a bit according to personal preference.

Edit: i concur with "Option" that you should get a 1080I/P.

Then you would be better off with the 1080p..

try and spend the extra money and get a sharp 32" since it does 1920x1080 1080p

I would agree with him but i have the Samsung 32 inch and is brilliant. Now i use this as my Computer monitor this where a 1080p would be better but if your using it as just as a tv then 720p should be just fine. Ive had it for over a year now as my computer monitor and i loove watching movies so clear soo crisp.

Hmm, the subject claims you want a 32 foot TV. That would be impressive. :)

I am still using a 27" NTSC CRT, and figure I will only upgrade when a nice front projection 1920x1080p DLP becomes reasonably priced. Something like the Dell 7609 would be nice at 1920x1200, but I am not spending that much money on TV.
