I would recommend testing your spread sheets with google docs first. I'm not sure docs is always compatible with excel macros but I could be wrong.

Do you have access to the internet during your presentations? If not you may not want to go the chromebook route given its design around cloud storage....

If you do want a chromebook id suggest looking at dell they make probably the most slick chromebook out there. You pay a bit more but the build quality is superior....

hey Friendly, Chrome OS does not work with Windows app's. you'll have access to the free online version of Excel via your Hotmail account. it's a lite version though, so it may not work with your macro's or advanced calculations.
