AMD 6800/6900 die splitting in half, oh boy this could be bad

I dont believe AMD ever said there was no issue and/or backpeddled. Their stance was always 'We're investigating and will provide an update soon' from what I saw. Then once they confirmed the problem (a small batch of QC failed coolers) they advised of the remedial action to take if you were experiencing an issue.

I actually believe AMD handled this situation perfectly, and its exactly how they're handling this 'die splitting' incident too.

From what I saw online from users it was outright denial of a problem until Tech Sites started to make noise, and then suddenly there was acknowledgement of an issue, investigation, and ability for people to RMA.
