Well I wouldn't be surprised to see AMD build new Athlons based off the AM1 socket sometime next year. What I would be surprised is if they build new FX series CPU because I really like the 8350 but the PCIE 2.0 just doesn't help for me.

Would these work good as media streaming to tvs or trancoded to ps3's or are they still to weak to crack out 1080p mkvs?

you would have to ask an owner for the 1080p mkv, as they are pretty heavy to decode.

I just did the birds 1080p mkv playback test. Worked perfrectly fine with no buffering. I am also now using a western digital 74 Gb raptor hard drive. Which has lower performance then almost all modern hard drives.
One of the feature that is list with this APU is Bluray playback.

*Note when using DivX the playback was chopy. When using VLC the playback was smooth.

Yes but Bluray audio video streams are decoded in hardware, the UVD engine takes care of that, however UVD has no mkv hardware decoding support, that is the difference.

its around 70-80% mkv.

How does the system cope when playing flash games like those on facebook? Usually they take a lot of RAM and CPU resources. I had a very good experience with a Pentium G2020 IB, but how is Kabini going at this?

I do not really play Facebook games, so I would not know which game is most taxing. What game would you like me to try?

hmmm, it's kinda cute isn't it. I just looked at a few reviews on these, performance seems to be expected for the price and wattage. I might buy one just to play with it, since the price is so low
