Another week, another graphics card launch. This time AMD is hitting the entry level with a pair of new products: the HD 6670 and HD 6570. Both of these are supposed to offer budget conscious buyers some new choices over the previous generation while adding features like UVD3 into the mix. Hopefully, they'll allow lower priced GPUs to hit higher performance levels.

however, wouldn't one be ok with integrated these days vs spending money on these low end parts from
both nv and amd?

Other than the APUs, there are currently no integrated 6 series or even 5 series amd chips.

True, but for most people, they'd be fine with onboard, even the older 3 and 4 series chips. Hell, I still see plenty of new desktops using the Geforce 6xxx based onboard graphics and people buy them.

Some people have different needs. Integrated 6-series chips would allow for UVD3 without the need for a dedicated card. There are more modern features also.
