Does it work? Is it worthwhile always having a flash mem. stick plugged into your comp?

For those that dont know what im talking about, AMD Readyboost is the technology that allows newer AMD processors to use a removeable (flash) drive as part of its ram (if i understand it all correctly) for improved speeds surpassing even raid 0 speeds....

Has anyone tried it/ tested it/ benchmarked it? etc...

If not... then I shall be the first (Since im going to be reviewing my whole system and posting the build for it as well).

I am not sure how it could be faster than RAID. Most good RAID setups can push like 150MB/s, while memory bandwidth is over 6,000MB/s. Flash drives top out at 38MB (theoretical max speed of USB 2.0).

If there are any differences at all, I'd be impressed. Like Vistas ReadyBoost, I am sure it will benefit low-end PC's more than anything.
